Bermère was born in Atlanta, built by three sisters, and rooted in two worlds at once. We are American by upbringing and South Asian by heritage, and for a long time those two things existed separately in fashion. When it came to your most important moments, you chose one world or the other. Bermère was created because that choice never made sense to us.
Meet the Sisters
At the heart of Bermère are three sisters who embody a perfect blend of creativity, tradition, and modernity—each from a different generation. Neelam, Simraan, and Riya represent the diversity of their family’s vision, blending old and new in every design.
Neelam began designing her own pieces at just 15, creating custom looks for herself and her family. Simraan, with her playful touch, grew up experimenting with fashion, adding her flair to everything she wore. Riya, the youngest, brings a fresh and exciting perspective that continues to inspire Bermère’s innovative designs.
Fashion was woven into their lives from an early age, taught by their mother, while their father instilled a strong entrepreneurial spirit through his own family-run businesses. In creating Bermère, our identity as American-born Pakistani Indians inspired a name that embodies our dual heritage and cultural diversity.
